About this opportunity
The Supply Network connects education professionals with schools and education settings across East Sussex. By registering for this secondary supply teachers opportunity you tell local schools and settings that you are available for work in Eastbourne and the surrounding East Sussex area.
Assignments can include day-to-day cover, planned absence, short-term subject cover and longer placements. Where appropriate, we'll aim to match teachers with their subject specialism, although general classroom cover may also be available.
You'll need to be comfortable walking into an established timetable, delivering the work provided and maintaining clear expectations for behaviour and learning. Tell us your subject specialism, preferred key stages, travel area and availability so we can approach you about suitable opportunities.

How the Supply Network works
- Tell us you are available, and we keep you in mind for suitable bookings
- Choose the locations you want to work in, including this town or city and the surrounding area
- Register for the role you want, and we match it against requests from local schools and settings
- Schools contact us about their cover needs, often at short notice, and we look for people already registered
- The more flexible and available you are, the more opportunities may come your way
- We manage the paperwork, so you can focus on the work
- All candidates are vetted and checked in line with our safeguarding procedures before any work
Safeguarding and vetting
Every candidate is interviewed, identity-checked and reference-checked before joining. Where required for the role, we also support you through the relevant vetting and safeguarding checks, and we work with schools to make sure their expectations are clear from the start.

This is an ongoing Supply Network opportunity. Registering does not create a contract of employment and does not guarantee that work will be offered, or that a specific vacancy exists at any school. We will contact you when suitable opportunities arise based on your availability and preferences.
