Terms for using our website, Supply Network and portal.

1. Introduction

Welcome to EduTalent Connect Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, or platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

EduTalent Connect Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No: 15410600, VAT: 484 447 753). Our registered address is 19 Birdwood Grove, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 8AJ.

2. Definitions

"Platform" means our website and associated services. "User" means any individual or organisation that accesses or uses the Platform. "Candidate" means a user seeking employment opportunities. "School" means an educational institution seeking to recruit staff.

3. User Accounts

3.1 You must provide accurate and complete information when registering an account.

3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3.3 You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3.4 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Services

4.1 We provide human-led education recruitment and supply staffing services for schools and educational professionals.

4.2 The Supply Network allows candidates to record their role interests, preferred locations, travel preferences and availability. It does not automatically match, book or place staff.

4.3 Schools requiring urgent or same-day cover should telephone our team. Our staff personally check availability and suitability before confirming proposed cover directly with the school.

4.4 We facilitate safer recruitment processes in line with applicable safeguarding guidance.

4.5 Placements are subject to satisfactory role-appropriate safeguarding and compliance checks.

5. GDPR & Data Protection

5.1 We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

5.2 Data Controller: EduTalent Connect Ltd is the data controller for the personal data you provide to us.

5.3 Data We Collect: We collect name, email address, phone number, address details, professional history, DBS certificate, passport, CV, and right-to-work information. For schools, we collect school name, job title, and contact details.

5.4 Lawful Basis: We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (recruitment services), contractual necessity, and legal obligation (safeguarding checks).

5.5 Data Sharing: We share candidate data with schools only for recruitment purposes. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5.6 Data Retention: We retain your data for the duration of your account and for up to 6 years after closure to comply with legal obligations.

5.7 Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at operations@edutalentconnect.com.

5.8 Security: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction.

5.9 Complaints: If you believe we have breached data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

6. Acceptable Use & Non-Misuse

6.1 You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

6.2 You must not:

• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to access another user's account without authorisation
• Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications or spam
• Upload or distribute malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to bypass security measures or access restricted areas
• Use the Platform for any fraudulent or illegal activity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff
• Circumvent our recruitment process or directly contact candidates without our authorisation
• Reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any part of the Platform without our written consent

6.3 We reserve the right to monitor activity on the Platform to detect and prevent misuse.

6.4 Any breach of this clause may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

6.5 Schools agree to conduct all recruitment activities in compliance with KCSIE and safer recruitment practices.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 We provide the Platform on an "as is" basis and make no warranties regarding the availability, accuracy, or suitability of the services.

7.2 We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

7.3 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7.4 Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 All content, logos, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to EduTalent Connect Ltd.

8.2 You may not use our name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.

8.3 You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform, but grant us a licence to use it for the purpose of providing our services.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
