Supply Teachers Needed Across Dorset
Join our Dorset Supply Network for emergency, daily and short-term teaching assignments across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and surrounding areas of Dorset.
Supply teaching can involve anything from a pre-arranged day of cover to an early-morning call when a school needs someone quickly. You'll step into established classrooms, deliver work left by the school where available, maintain a positive learning environment and help keep the school day running smoothly.
We're interested in hearing from experienced teachers, ECTs and teachers returning to the classroom who are comfortable adapting to different school environments. Work may include individual days, short-term assignments and longer periods of cover depending on local school requirements and your availability.
What assignments may involve
- Delivering lessons and work provided by the school
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and professionally
- Following the school's policies and safeguarding procedures
- Adapting quickly to different classes, year groups and settings
- Providing brief feedback to the school where required
- Creating a safe, positive environment for pupils
Experience and qualifications
QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification, recent school-based experience and confident classroom management.
- Qualified teachers or appropriately experienced education professionals
- Strong classroom management
- Reliability and professional communication
- Confidence working in unfamiliar school environments
- A flexible approach to short-notice work
- Appropriate safeguarding and vetting checks

Safeguarding and vetting
Every candidate is interviewed, identity-checked and reference-checked before joining. Where required for the role, we also support you through the relevant vetting and safeguarding checks, and we work with schools to make sure their expectations are clear from the start.
